October 24, 2021 (Khartoum) Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok has sent a delegation to Port Sudan, the capital of the Red Sea State, headed by the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources, Professor Yasser Abbas, to meet with the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Beja , Mr. Muhammad Al-Amin Turk.
The transitional government is facing a protest movement and a political crisis in eastern Sudan, according to which the east has been completely closed since mid-September, which has prevented imports from entering the country.
The delegation includes the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Omar Al-Najeeb, and the Prime Minister’s Peace Adviser, Dr. Hassan Nasrallah
The head of the Supreme Council for Beja had previously stated his appreciation and respect for the Ministers of Irrigation and Health
According to the Prime Minister’s office, the delegation’s visit to Port Sudan affirms the keenness and seriousness of the government and the prime minister to reach an acceptable solution to the issue of eastern Sudan, address its legitimate grievances and alleviate the suffering of citizens.
