September 13, 2021 (Khartoum) Two sources in the Empowerment Removal Committee ERC said that the defendants in the case of blackmailing the Chinese company admitted taking bribes from the company in exchange for settling its file with the committee.
A police source told Darfur 24 that the accused (K.A.) was the first to confess that he and the other suspects had taken bribes from the Chinese company.
A second source told Darfur24 that investigations indicate the involvement of a prosecutor in the matter. The committee had earlier filed a complaint against 8 individuals whose names were mentioned in a letter submitted by the intelligence service to the Attorney General, accusing them of blackmailing a Chinese company.
