August 6, 2021 (Elfashir) The official in charge of security arrangements for the Sudan Liberation Forces Movement Mubarak Bakhit said that the joint forces had lost 5 people in the armed clashes that took place today, Friday, in the village of Kaluki, west of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfu.
Bakhit told Darfur 24 that the details of what happended was that the joint forces from the armed struggle movements that signed the Sudan Peace Agreement in Juba, which were sent by the North Darfur State Security Committee to maintain security in the village of Galab and the surrounding areas, came under attack that led to the killing of one person and displacement hundred others.
While the Kalogi Youth association accuses the armed struggle movements of attacking the village, the association holds the state government, the governor of Darfur region and the Sovereign Council responsible for the attack on the village, calling on the international community to visit the area to find out the extent of the attack on the citizens.
