July 31, 2021 (Khartoum) Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, announced that the doors of Sudan are open to American investments that are of mutual benefit to the interests of the two countries.
During his meeting with an American delegation that includes former members of the US Congress, businessmen and voluntary organizations in Khartoum , Al-Burhan affirmed, Sudan’s desire to build a partnership with the United States of America based on friendship and constructive cooperation.
In a press statement after the meeting, a member of the US delegation, Mark Siljander, who is a former member of the US Congress, said that the delegation felt the will and desire of the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council to complete the peace process in Sudan, and work for making the transitional period a success by achieving harmony among the components of the transitional government.
He added that the President of the Sovereignty Council expressed during the meeting his keenness to develop and expand the horizons of joint cooperation with the United States and to work together to build future partnership and friendship relations.
The former member of the US Congress, Ambassador Richard Dick Swett, said that he has worked in cooperation with some American companies and organizations during the past 10 years in Sudan to enhance the cooperation between the two countries in the field of economic development, which he said represents the solution to Sudan current and future problems, in addition to working in the field of sustainable community construction and providing job opportunities to support the middle class in Sudan.
