Darfur 24- El-Daein
Hundreds of demonstrators closed this morning Thursday the main streets in the market of El Daein, the capital of East Darfur State, protesting against the high prices of fuel in the black market, and its scarcity at petrol stations in the city.
Last Tuesday, the Federal Ministry of Finance announced a new increase in fuel prices, bringing the price of a liter of gasoline from 150 pounds to 290 pounds per liter, according to the new increase.
The price of a gallon of gasoline reached 4 thousand pounds, which led to an increase in the prices of transportation tickets inside the city from 100 to 150 pounds, while hundreds of owners of vehicles operating as transportation in the city showed solidarity with the demonstrators.
