Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, confirmed the continuation of his ministry in pursuing a policy of liberation until the Sudanese economy recovers from the distortions that it has been suffering from.
Dr. Jibril said the policy of subsidy is a failed, wrong and unfair policy, stressing that lifting the subsidy will be the first beneficiary of it, the simple citizen.
The minister added that they are aware of the citizens’ suffering and the state’s inability to rein in the market, but with these policies they will be able to control the market and know the country’s real need for every commodity.
