Sudan’s Security and Defense Council, in its meeting on Sunday evening, headed by the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued decisions to put an end to the tribal fighting and insecurity in some areas of the country.
Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Ezz El-Din El-Sheikh said in a press statement after the meeting that the council discussed the incidents of the third of June, the communal in South Darfur between the Fellata and Ta’isha tribes, as well as the incident of Forbaranga in West Darfur.
The Mondwa area in South Darfur witnessed tribal fighting between the Taisha and Fallata tribes, which killed 35 people and wounded more than 30, while confrontations and violent incidents erupted in the city of Forbaranga last week, killing 11 people and wounding others.
