Darfur 24- Khartoum
Thousands of Sudanese took to the streets of the capital Khartoum on Thursday to mark the second anniversary of the dispersal of a major protest camp, in which scores were killed.
More than 100 protesters were killed two year ago when security forces dispersed a sit-in demanding the handover of power to a civilian government near the army headquarters in Khartoum.
Most of the participants in the demonstration are young men and women under the age of thirty, from the Khartoum Resistance Committees, however, Darfur 24 monitored the deployment of police forces in Al-Qasr Street and the middle of the Arab market in the Gold Complex.
