Darfur 24-Juba
The leader of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North, Abdelaziz Adam Al Hilu has said his armed struggle movement is observing with great concern the deterioration of the human rights situation in Sudan.
“perpetrators are brought to justice, and this is one of the most important challenges to peace and stability” Abdelaziz added.
Addressing the opening negotiation session between the transitional government and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North in Juba, South Sudan today, Al-Hilu said the resumption of the negotiation coincides with the thirty-eighth anniversary of the founding of SPLM.
The leader whose movement is negotiating for a secular state said his movement worked with its allies after the glorious December revolution to reach a consensus to build the new Sudan despite the challenges it faced for a Sudan that respects diversity and is based on freedom, justice and equality.
“We affirm our determination to achieve a peaceful settlement through negotiations to address the root causes of the crisis in Sudan” Al Hilu concluded.
