One IDP was killed and five others were injured in an armed attack on Kalma camp for internally displaced people in South Darfur on Saturday night
The General Coordination of the Displaced and Refugees said in a statement that Darfur 24 obtained a copy of that the Kalma camp for the displaced was subjected to an attack last night, carried out by groups affiliated with the former regime, which resulted in the death of an IDP and the wounding of others.
The General Coordination accused the group of Dr. Saleh Issa, the Third Front, intermixes , and the Wali of South Darfur of carrying out the attack.
The statement held the transitional government, both civil and military, responsible for the attacks launched by the government of South Darfur.
They called on the UN Security Council, the United Nations, the African Union and the Troika countries to take decisive decisions to protect the unarmed civilian in Darfur.
Kalma IDP camp , located east of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur, is witnessing conflicts over the leadership of the camp between a group led by Yaqoub Fawry and Dr. Saleh Issa. The conflicts have developed into armed fighting that claimed a number of victims inside the camp.
