Classes suspended in a number of schools in East Darfur due to water crisis

A number of basic schools in the city of El-Daen, the capital of East Darfur state, were forced to grant students a leave due to water shortages in the town.
A complete blackout hit El-Daein , capital of East Darfur, a week ago. Power has not yet been restored, because of overdue payments to the company that provides the electricity.
The city of Ad-Daein, the capital of East Darfur state, is experiencing these days a severe thirst crisis due to the cessation of drinking water production, as the price of a barrel of water rose to 1,500 pounds.
The city of Ad-Da’en depends on the production of drinking water on the electric current, which was suspended by the Turkish company that produces electricity in a number of Darfur cities.
The Turkish company which deliver power supply has cut off electricity from five cities in Darfur including El-Daein.
