Journalist Abuzar Masoud was beaten, kicked and abused by members of the guard force of the governor of South Darfur, Musa Mahdi, inside the state government headquarters in the city of Nyala.
He mentioned that he had come to the government’s secretariat to do paper work pertaining to Al-Esaaf football club.
“After completing what I came for, I headed towards my car, so the guards were calling and talking to me in a sharp and offensive tone because my car had no registration number”.
He added, ” When I objected to their abuse, the Force Commander intervened and ordered his men to tie me up and take me to one of their rooms” Abuzar further added.
