Today, Monday the Sudanese investigation committee began questioning military personnel with regard to June 3 dispersal of a sit-in protest near the army headquarters in Khartoum.
Darfur 24 learned that Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta arrived at the headquarters of the committee this afternoon as the first member of a military sovereignty council to be subject to interrogation.
Hundreds of demonstrators were killed and thousands were injured in the incident of dispersing the sit-in in front of the General Command of the Armed Forces, on the third of June 2019, less than two months after the fall of Albashir regime.
