November 3, 2020 (Khartoum) The Second Pre-Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court decided, Monday, to postpone the confirmation hearing in the case of Ali Mohamed Abdel Rahman Ali, known as Koshyib, until February 22 next year.
It was scheduled that the Hague based court would hold a hearing confirming charges against Ali on the seventh of next December.
Kosheib, who is facing charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, turned himself in to the International Criminal Court in the Central African Republic last June.
The decision of the second pre-trial chamber of the court came after the public prosecutor’s request to postpone the session, according to Al-Hadath newspaper.
The purpose of the planned confirmation hearing is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to prove substantial grounds for believing that the person has committed all the crimes attributed to him.
The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Kushayb in 2007.
