October 27, 2020 (Nyala) The Rapid Support Forces Command RSF in South Darfur received reinforcement to secure the agricultural season in the state.
RSF commander in South Darfur , Brigadier General Abdul Rahman Jumah, told Darfur 24, that the forces had been deployed under the direction of the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Rapid Support Forces, to deploy all over the state to protect the harvest season and secure the return of the herders from the north to the south.
It’s worth-noting that states of Darfur in late autumn each year witness conflicts between the herders and farmers.
Brigadier General Abdul Rahman stated that the force that reached the state consists of 100 combat vehicles, and it can be increased whenever the need arises.
“These forces will work in coordination with all the regular forces in the state, and they will be on the lookout for everyone who tries to lie in wait for security and drag the state to the security square” Concluded Abdul Rahman.
