October 23, 2020 (Khartoum) US President Donald Trump announced that Sudan has agreed to sign a peace agreement and normalization with the State of Israel.
Trump’s announcement came shortly after the White House announced that he had informed Congress of his intention to remove Sudan from its list of state sponsors of terrorism.
For its part, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, through its “Israel in Arabic” account on Twitter, that Israel and Sudan had reached an agreement to end the state of hostility and start the normalization of relations between them.
President Donald J. Trump, Chairman of Sudan Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today to discuss the historic progress of Sudan.
