October 13, 2020 (Khartoum) The joint meeting of the Sovereign Council and the Council of Ministers this evening at the Republican Palace chaired by Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan approved the Juba
Agreement for Sudan’s Peace, which was signed on the third of this October.

The agreement was subject to wide discussions by members of the two councils who praised the great effort made by the negotiating delegations from both sides.

The meeting called for the necessity of holding a conference to present the eastern Sudan pathway agreement to the eastern components of the population, and drew attention to the importance of involving
all components of eastern Sudan in the conference.

The Security and Defense Council decided in a meeting after the signing of the peace agreement signed in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, to prepare for holding an inclusive constitutional conference
to solve the eastern Sudan crisis that has worsened over the past few days due to population groups ’rejection of the decisions of the East Track in the peace agreement signed between the transitional
government and the Revolutionary Front.

The transitional government praised the role of the State of South Sudan and its leadership and the Mediation Committee for their efforts and great facilities for the success of the negotiations.
