October 9, 2020 (Zalengei) Government of Central Darfur state formed commission of inquiry to investigate incidents in Nertiti area of the western Jebel Marra locality, which occurred in late September, in
which more than 7 people were killed and 10 wounded.
Last September, the Nertiti area witnessed sporadic killings, some of them were killed by police forces, when demonstrators tried to storm the police station that housed the Secondary school certificate exam
papers.
Governor of Central Darfur, Adeeb Abdul Rahman said the investigation committee will be headed by state’s prosecutor.
