October 2, 2020 – Deputy Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, discussed with the US envoy to Sudan Donald Booth Friday , the importance of the international
community’s support for the Sudan Peace Agreement, which will be signed tomorrow, Saturday, between the transitional government and the Revolutionary Front to end the war in Sudan.
Hemedti said on his facebook pages that a good dialogue took place between him and the American envoy about the steps to implement the agreement and the role that the international community should play.
Dagalo stated that the meeting touched on removing Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, and saying that he had received a promise from the US envoy to reach an agreement on removing
Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism as soon as possible.
Hemedti renewed his determination to continue the dialogue with the American administration in order to create normal and balanced relations between Khartoum and Washington through the government’s plan aimed at ending the international isolation of Sudan.
