September 29, 2020 (Khartoum) Minister of Finance , Heba Mohammad Ali, met in her office Tuesday, the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) delegation in her office in the capital, Khartoum.
The newly appointed Finance Minster urged the visiting SRF to give special consideration to the interest of citizens who have suffered from wars so that they can reap the fruits of peace,
stressing necessity of developing the countryside to end the cycle of conflicts in the country and achieve balanced development. Sudan’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning has begun developing
a plan to implement the economic requirements of the recent signed peace agreements.
Sudanese people in general and people of Darfur in particular, are awaiting the date of Friday the second of October, which is the date set for the signing of the Peace Agreement, after negotiations that lasted about 10 months in Juba, the capital of Southern Sudan.
Heba stressed the need for the private sector to be accompanied in the implementation of peace projects in addition to the great role of youth in implementing entrepreneurship projects that contribute to creating job opportunities for them, and the delegation called for the need for concerted efforts to help reach peace with the rest of the non-signatory movements.
For his part, head of SRF delegation, Yasser Saeed Arman, stressed the need for civil society organizations to participate in the implementation of peace projects, especially in the field of voluntary return of the displaced to their areas.
The peace agreement lately signed by the government and the revolutionary front included 8 protocols, security, the issue of land and hawakir, transitional justice, compensation and reparation, the
protocol for developing the nomads and herders sector, power-sharing, the issue of displaced persons and refugees.
