The Sudanese government delegation headed by the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan discussed with the American delegation a number of regional issues, foremost among
which is the future of Arab-Israeli peace, which leads to stability in the region and preserves the Palestinian people’s right to establish their state according to the vision of the two-state solution.

The Sovereign Council said, in a statement seen by Darfur 24, after the return of “Al-Burhan” and the accompanying delegation from the United Arab Emirates, today Wednesday, that the results of the talks,
which lasted for three days in UAE, will be presented to the transitional government bodies for discussion in order to reach a common vision.

Meanwhile, the Council affirmed that the discussions were characterized by seriousness and frankness, and discussed a number of issues of common interest, foremost among which was the issue of
removing Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism and other restrictions imposed by the United States on Sudanese citizens,
such as preventing the Sudanese from participating US diversity visa , Darfur peace act and others.

Talks between  Al-Burhan and the American delegation came after the visit of the United States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, to Khartoum on August 25, during which he addressed the issue of removing
Sudan from the US terrorist list of countries sponsoring terrorism, and the file of normalizing relations with Israel.

However, the Prime Minister of Sudan, Abdullah Hamdok, told him that the transitional government  is led by a coalition with a specific agenda to complete the transition process, and that the government does not have a mandate to decide on normalization.
