September 7, 2020 (Khartoum)On Monday the Dollar exchange rate rose sharply against Sudanese pounds in the parallel market.
However, the sale price of the greenback rose to 217 pounds compared to 210 on Sunday.
Traders agreed that the peace agreement signed between the Sudanese government and the armed struggle movements in Juba, the government and the head of the popular movement north of Abdel Aziz Al-Helou, last week, has not been reflected on the economic situation in the
country yet.
Sudan lived through an era of corruption during regime of the former regime led by the ousted Omar Al-Bashir, so it was included in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, which caused the national
economy to lose direct and indirect revenues estimated at about a trillion dollars.
