August 24, 2020 (Khartoum) The Flood Committee of the Sudanese Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources has warned that the Khartoum station will record 17.30 meters tomorrow, Tuesday, surpassing the highest number recorded during September of last year.
Recent rains and floods in the country caused the deaths of about 70 people and destroyed about 14 thousand homes in the country.
The committee said in its daily statement that the city of Wad Medani recorded 20.33 meters today, and is expected to register 20.44 meters tomorrow, and the day after Wednesday, 20.46 meters, while the highest level recorded by the Medani station was 21 meters in August 1946.
