August 22, 2020 -The South Sudan mediation team, has indefinitely decided to freeze negotiations between the Sudanese government and SPLM-North led by Abdulaziz Adam Al-Hilu.
However, SPLM-N Alhilu, withdrew from the talks on Thursday, protesting over inclusion of RSF commander, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo in the government negotiating team.
The armed struggle movement whose stronghold in Kauda, is accusing Dagalo and his forces of committing crimes in Darfur, Blue Nile and Kordofan.
Speaking to reporters on Friday ,at the talks premises in Juba, the head of South Sudan mediation team, Tut, said that there would be consultation between the mediation and SPLM-N, then negotiations would
be resumed, stressing that the movement’s team would remain in Juba during the consultation period.
Tut confirmed that negotiations would continue in all other tracks in order to reach a comprehensive peace agreement in Sudan
