August 6, 2020 (Nyala)The Governor of South Darfur, Musa Mahdi, has pledged to resolve what he described as the negative phenomenon inside Nyala Teaching Hospital.
During his visit to the hospital on Thursday, since assuming office, the governor got acquainted with the problems and obstacles facing the hospital.
Nyala Teaching Hospital suffers from a deterioration of the environmental health, accumulation of medical waste and the failure to open sewers and drains, which leads to the accumulation of dirt inside
the hospital.
Patients complain about the poor services inside the hospital, due to the lack of resources and medical staff.
The governor affirmed in statements after his tour of the hospital that the state’s capabilities will be harnessed for the sake of developing the hospital, to play its role as required.
He stated that during his tour, he found that the hospital is below the level of medical services required in the state and does not meet the aspirations of citizens in terms health services.
He said that the hospital was a historic one, so it had to be maintained by providing all capabilities.
He urged the people of the state abroad and national and foreign organizations to support and develop the hospital.
