August 4, 2020 (El-Geneina) Leaders of the defunct regime have engaged in extensive meetings with political forces and community leaders in West Darfur, with the aim of promoting a peaceful
coexistence conference for the border tribes between Sudan and Chad to be held in the city of Abeche.
Sources, informed Darfur 24, that prominent leaders from the former regime arrived in El-Geneina, the capital of West Darfur State, led by Major General El-Hadi Mohamed Abdullah, Muhammad Ibrahim, Khaled
Bilal, former Zalingei civil commissioner, and Muhammad al-Amin Abdel Wahab, former coordinator of popular Defense for West Darfur.
The sources pointed out that the former regime delegation held separate meetings with the Arab tribes, the Masalit tribe, alongside the forces for freedom and change as well as the displaced people and
the nomadic.
The sources stated that the ex regime delegation discussed in its meetings with various parties , the importance of peaceful coexistence among components of the community.
