July 26, 2020 (Khartoum) Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamduk, has
directed the newly appointed civilian governors, to maintain
security and giving great concern to the living condition of the
citizens by providing basic commodities, combat smuggling, and
strengthening youth job opportunities, increase of woman participation
and representation and reform of civil service in the states.
Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk received, Sunday, the newly –appointed Governors
of the States, before taking oath, in the presence of the Ministers
of Cabinet Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Industry and Mining.
Hamadouk underscored that the appointment of two female governors
in the states for the first time in Sudan’s history, is step on the
right direction of strengthening the participation of ladies in
different government’s bodies
The meeting between Hamdok and the governors discussed the ten
priorities of the transitional government, which include stopping the
war, building a just and comprehensive sustainable peace, tackling the
economic crisis and laying the foundations for sustainable
development, along with the basic challenges facing the states in
general.
