July 26, 2020 (Nyala) Sudan sovereign Council has authorized RSF in
South Darfur to use force for the sake of protecting citizens in
Giraida area.
A government delegation from Khartoum headed by a member of the
Council of Ministers, Lieutenant Ibrahim Jaber, visited Abou Dous,
South Darfur ,after the attack by gunmen yesterday on the village,
which killed and wounded 36 people, including a child.
Armed men using four-wheel drive vehicles and motorcycles launched
attack Thursday on the village of Abu Dus, west of of Gereida, from
four directions, killing 20 people and wounding 16 others.
The Rapid Support Commander of the South Darfur sector said the gunmen
raped one of the women and then killed her.
However, the residents of Abu Dous had returned to their village of
origin to live normal life after spending several years in the IDP
camps.
