July 20, 2020 (Khartoum) The Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) has informed the transitional government and the southern mediation team that it has accepted the temporary appointment of civilian governors in all states of the country, until the peace agreement is signed
However, . in a telephonic conversation between SRF and the transitional government last Friday, the latter requested SRF to support appointment of temporary civilian governors.
In a statement signed by SRF chairman Dr. Al-Hadi Idris Yahya, the alliance said that it had agreed to the appointment of the State’s governors in response to the people’s desire, with the aim of
dismantling empowerment, providing basic services to the citizen, and achieving goals of the revolution.
The coalition warned that temporary governors should not be exported from the center to the region, as was the case in the 1950s and 1960s, calling for a fair and equitable representation of women.
