The National Umma Party has rejected the states governors appointments project, claiming that it does not conform to the principles of competence, integrity, justice and public support.
The refusal comes four days after the transitional government announced selection of 13 state governors out of 18.

The Supreme Coordination Council of the Umma Party announced, during a meeting held today, Wednesday, that it had set principles for the selection of governors , and that if it was rejected, adding that the party would have another position, for sake of national interest and the safety of the transitional period

He said that the appointment of governors requires the approval of the state law to teach the governors what their legal powers are, noting that the current governors are  military leaders of the state concerning  and exercised their powers without a specific law.
