Hamdouk relieves
July 9, 2020 The Prime Minister, Dr Abdallah Hamdouk on Thursday
received the resignation of six ministers and relieved yet another one
in what he said the need to reassess government performance and in
response demand by the people who came out into the street late last
month calling for a change
Those who submitted resignation to the minister included the Foreign
Affairs, Finance and Economic Planning, Energy and Mining,
Agriculture, Transport and infrastructures and Animal resources
ministers.
The Prime Minister has meanwhile relieved the Federal Minister for
Health, Dr. Akram Ali Al-Tom who did not handed over his resignation.
The transitional cabinet held an emergency meeting on
Thursday, at the invitation of Prime Minister Hamdouk, who praised the
ministers and their acceptance of the mandate in these difficult
circumstances.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to evaluate the performance of
the government in response to the desire of the street that came out
on June 30, 2020, calling for correcting path of the revolution, and
making adjustments to the government’s staff to suit the new stage.
Hamdouk has meanwhile named the following to act as ministries until
the new ministers are appointed:
Dr.Sarah Abdulazim for the Ministry of Health.
Omar Ismail Gamaredden, for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Abdul Gader Terkawi for the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Dr. Hiba Ahmed Ai for the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.
Engineer, Kheri Abdul Raman for the Ministry of Energy and Mining.
Dr. Adel Farah Idriss for the Ministry of Animal Wealth.
Engineer, Hashem Ibn Auf for the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructures.
