July 8, 2020 (Khartoum) In its epidemiological report on Sunday, the Federal Ministry of Health announced 14 new fatalities of coronavirus, raising total number of death toll to 636 since the outbreak of the pandemic five months ago in the east African country.
“87 new coronavirus cases recorded on Sunday, lifting total confirmed cases in Sudan to 10084” the ministry said in a statement.
40 Covid-19 patients recovered on Sunday, bringing total recoveries to 5074 since the killer disease first emerged in the country.
Breakdown of the new confirmed cases, shows that Khartoum state has the highest infection rates with 59 cases, followed by Aljazeera state 12 cases, Northern state 10, White Nile 2, River Nile 2, West Darfur 1
and West Kordofan 1.
