announced that it firmly supports the legitimate and fair demands of
Nirtiti residents in Central Darfur State.
The demands of the protestors, are to provide security for citizens,
to disarm the militias, secure the agricultural season, arrest the
perpetrators and bring them to justice.
A government delegation from Khartoum, will leave for Nartati on
Sunday, to meet the protesters and listen to their requirement.
However, the delegation, includes Member of the Council of
Sovereignty, Mohammed Hassan Al-Taishi, Minister of Justice Nasreddine
Abdel-Bari, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Omar Maynis, and a number of
federal ministers from the area.
“We highly value the civilized and democratic behavior of Nertati
residents, and we commend the peaceful approach they have taken to
convey their message” SRF spokesman said in a statement .
The federal government and the State authorities have called for
immediate response, to the legitimate demands of Nertiti citizens,
including peace, security and stability.
Nertiti peaceful sit-in, which has entered its seventh day, is
considered , the first peaceful civilian sit-in, after the one staged
by the revolutionaries in front of the General HQs of the Army in June
of last year in Khartoum
