July 2, 2020 (El-Daein) The military governor of East Darfur State , Major General Al-Muzammil Abu Bakr, has submitted his resignation to the Sovereign Council.
However, the executive director of the Al-Daein locality, Ahmed Al-Doud, told Darfur24, that the governor had announced his resignation on Thursday, in meeting between him and leaders of Forces for freedom and change at the guesthouse.
“He handed over his duties to the Secretary General of the government, Ismail Adam Abdullah.”Al-Doud added.
It’s worth noting ,that the military governors of the states, have began submitting semi-collective resignations, during the past 24 hours, as the northern and southern Darfur states governors ,
submitted their resignations on Wednesday, in response to the demands of the June 30 march protesters, who chanted slogans, calling for appointment of civilian governors.
