June 25, 2020 (Khartoum) The US State Department released its annual terrorism report for 2019, which was different from previous years in its handling of Sudan.
The report acknowledged that the current transitional government does not support terrorism.
The US administration pledged in its report, that the name of Sudan will soon be removed from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
It’s worth noting that Sudan has been on the US list of State sponsor or terrorism since 1993 ,as a result of the reckless policies of the former regime.
In a press statement, issued by the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Thursday, the ministry lauded the cooperation between the US administration and the transitional government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk in the field of counter-terrorism.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its full cooperation with regional and international organizations in order to eliminate the phenomenon of international terrorism in all its forms.
