June 23, 2020 (Khartoum) The meeting of the Sudanese Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, with the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC), recommended the urgent appointment of civilian governors, after the necessary measures were taken, calling at the same time for immediate start of the formation of the Legislative Council, taking into consideration the seats allocated to armed struggle movements.
Representatives of the FFC held an important meeting on Monday evening, with the Prime Minister in the presence of the Minister of the Council of Ministers and the Senior Adviser. The meeting tackled
the many challenges facing the transition period and the outstanding issues.
The meeting stressed that the anniversary of the 30th of next June represents a fundamental pillar in the course of the revolution and a victory for all its values.
The two parties agreed to activate the enforcement of all items of the matrix, and decided to form a joint high-level delegation to meet with the Revolutionary Front and the Popular Movement led by Al-Helou and
the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahed Mohamed Nour, and work to remove all obstacles that hinder peace process.
The meeting also discussed preparations for the summer agricultural season, and discussed ways to provide the necessary needs for the success of the season, including financing, fertilizer and fuel.
The meeting urged the government to go a head with its plan of reintegrating Sudan into the international community through the ongoing efforts to remove Sudan from the list of state sponsors of
terrorism, and fully liaise with UN to facilitate establishment of United Nations mission, under chapter V1 of UN chatter.
