(JEM) called for the necessity of extraditing the remaining wanted persons to the International
criminal court, mainly Omar Albashir.
The armed struggle movement said that if the accused were not extradited, justice would be incomplete.
Syed Sharif Jar Al-Nabi, the official of foreign relations and international cooperation of the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement, told Darfur 24 that the presence of Ali Kushayb, at the
International Criminal Court, is a victory for the victims and those who lost all the essentials of life.
“We, as a movement of justice and equality, have been the first to cooperate with the International Criminal Court since 2003, and we have communicated with the responsible authorities there and announced our cooperation to reach all criminals until they are extradited ,
and we are still pushing for the extradition of the other criminals wanted on top of which is the ousted president , Umar al-Bashir” Syed Sharif added.
For his part, head of the Sudan Liberation Army, Abdel Wahed Mohamed Nour, said on the movement’s Facebook page, that handing over Kushayb and the rest of the criminals, whether voluntarily or not, is a demand to prosecute the criminal that have practiced genocide since 56.
” We are eyewitnesses to the crimes committed in Darfur and that we, as a movement, have since 2008 called for the transfer of perpetrators of war crimes and genocide in Darfur to The Hague” Concluded Nur.
