A Sudanese statement said that Egypt and Ethiopia mandated Sudan to draft a new consensus document in an attempt to resolve the crisis.
However, the irrigation ministers and delegations from the three African Countries continued their f virtual meeting on Saturday to find soultions to pending issues pertaining to the Dam’s filling and
operating. .

The  Sudanese Ministry of Irrigation revealed in  a statement  seen by Darfur 24, that there is  consensus between the  three countries on most of the technical issues except for some limited details, also
uncovered  a detailed and heated discussion that took place on the legal aspects of the agreement that the three countries are working to reach.

Discussions took place on the basis of the consensual document prepared and sent by Sudan after the previous meeting, and talks focused on the technical aspects of filling and operating the Renaissance Dam in conditions of rainy seasons The talks aimed  at reaching  an integrated agreement covering the amount of water that will be discharged from the Lake of  Renaissance Dam.

This comes at a time when a spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed El Sebaei announced, “Saturday”, that the Khartoum, Cairo and Addis Ababa talks, on the Renaissance Dam , had reached a deadlock because of Ethiopia’s intransigence.
