June 7, 2020 -The Sudanese government delegation headed by Lieutenant General Khaled  Abdeen, on Saturday, disclosed  a significant development in the file of security arrangements with  Darfur armed
movements.

However, negotiations on security arrangements between the government delegation and Darfur  movements,  continued today  via video conference  at the Salam Rotana Hotel in Khartoum and the Crown Hotel in Juba  in the presence of  South Sudan mediation  team.

The Sudanese cabinet announced  in a statement seen by Darfur24, that the negotiation sessions would continue, until  a final peace agreement  is reached on the date fixed by mediation team.

The South Sudan mediation team, had earlier announced that a final peace deal ,would be inked on June 20, 2020. Signing a comprehensive peace agreement, between the transitional government and the armed struggle movements,  has been a major challenge to the government of prime minster Dr. Abdallah Hamdouk
