In a televised speech to mark first anniversary of crackdown on protesters, Sudan’s Prime Minister, Abdallah Hamdouk, stressed the need to reveal the true criminals behind the crime of breaking up the
sit-in and hold them accountable, saying that blood of martyrs will not go in vain.
“The government is awaiting completion of the work of the Independent Investigation Commission, to be followed by bringing all those found guilty of participating in the massacre to fair and public
trials” Abdallah Hamdouk added.
However, Today, Wednesday, the Sudanese people commemorated the first anniversary of the crackdown on protesters that led to the death of more than 100 protesters and injury of hundreds others, while many
still unaccounted for. ” I pledge that i will exert all efforts as head of the transitional cabinet, to do my utmost to stop the bleeding of the precious Sudanese blood” Hamdouk concluded.
