May 30, 2020 (El-fashir) The United Nations Office for Humanitarian
Affairs (OCHA)has said that World Food Program (WPF) has distributed
a three-month food package to 1, 300 (500 households) affected by the
lockdown that imposed by the government to curb spread of COVID-19
pandemic.
According to a report by OCHA, the Office of the United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) had distributed food to the
vulnerable IDP households, in coordination with the government’s
refugee agency.
However, the Ministry of Health closely monitored compliance with
Coronavirus prevention measures during the distribution to ensure the
health and safety of those receiving food and staff involved in the
distribution operation
