Daglo accuses political entities of involvement in the recent South Darfur incidents

May 8, 2020 (Nyala) Deputy commander of the Rapid Support Forces
(RSF), Lieutenant General Abdel Rahim Dagalo, has accused some
political entities of involvement in igniting the fighting that took
place on Tuesday and Wednesday, between gunmen from Fallatah and
Rizeigat tribes in Tulus, South Darfur.
Addressing a delegation of Rizeigat and Fallatah dignitaries in
Nyala, Daglo said that there were groups seeking to gain political
advantages from the tribal clashes in South Darfur.
” Rapid Support Forces are able to confront and stop all those who
seek to mess around with security and stability of the country”
Daglo added.
For his part, the Governor of South Darfur, Major General Hashim
Khaled , stressed that the government’s main concern at the present
time was to recover the money and livestock that had been looted,
impose state’s authorities and respect rule of law.
Hashim, underscored the necessity of collecting unlicensed weapons by
force from citizens to help maintain peace and stability in the area.
