May 7, 2020 (Khartoum) Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Abdel Wahed Mohamed Al-Nur, has appealed to Rizeigat and Fallata tribes in Tulus , South Darfur, to stop fighting and listen to the voice of reason.
However, the Armed struggle movement also urged the two warring
parties to stop all forms of escalation, so as stave off sedition
and prevent killing more innocent lives.
The movement’s appeal comes after the recent upsurge of inter-tribal
conflict in Darfur, the last of which has been the fighting between Rizeigat and falata tribes in South Darfur.
In a statement seen by Darfur 24, the movement’s spokesman Mohamed
Abdel-Rahman Al-Nair, said that such tribal wars would threaten the
unity and cohesion of the social fabric in Darfur region.
The movement whose leader is on exile in France, said that the
recurring inter-communal violence in western Sudan were often
triggered by government agencies.
However, it called for a review of the armament measures pursued by
the former regime.
Darfur region , whose area is as large as France, has been in turmoil since 2003, when rebel groups took up arms against the ousted
government of the former leader, Omar al-Bashir, over economic and
political marginalization
