May 1, 2020 (Khartoum) Sudan’s Federal Ministry of Health has rejected
the new pricing for locally manufactured drugs, issued by the
National Council for Medicines and Toxins.

However, Prices of some locally made  medicines  have recently
witnessed significant increases, ranging from 70 to 12%.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Central Pharmacists Committee
described the new pricing as “unjustifiable”.

The Central Pharmacists Committee had  earlier, called  for a
comprehensive review of pricing laws, describing the issuance of new
pricing lists , as “sudden and illogical” that denies citizens access
to safe and effective medicine at an affordable  price .
