The joint committee of Sudan Liberation Army led by Minawi, and the
Sudanese Congress Party headed by Omar Al-Dugair has agreed on a
package of agenda in the forefront of which is a common vision of how
to advance the peace process and end the suffering of citizens,
especially in war and conflict areas.
However, the two parties issued joint statement, saying that Peace is
the main threshold for a successful transitional period, achieving
stability, and the desired democratic transformation.
In a related development ,last week Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah
Hamdouk had discussed with Minawi and the chairman of Sudan
revolutionary Front (SRF) Dr. Alhadi the peace process in Sudan,
where Minawi confirmed, during the phone call, his movement’s
steadfast position on the need to reach a real and sustainable peace
that addresses the roots cause of the crisis and silences the gun
forever.
For his part, Dr. Al-Hadi stressed that the Revolutionary Front is
keen on achieving a comprehensive peace that puts an end to the
fighting, addresses the roots of crises, and enhances security and
stability.
The parties agreed to continue consultations on all relevant issues
