April 18, 2020 (Khartoum) Sudan’s Ministry of Health announced ,Saturday, that it had recorded 30 new cases of Coronavirus in the
country , in addition to 4 new deaths from the disease.
However, this brings the total number of cases of Coronavirus in the country to 66, including 10 deaths, where 61 cases were recorded in Khartoum State alone and 5 cases recorded in other Sudanese states.
Ministry of Health said in a statement seen by Darfur 24 on Saturday that the health reports showed that Khartoum State had recorded 27 new cases on Friday only, including some foreigners.
Meanwhile, Covid19 cases in the other states reached 3 cases, two infections in White Nile State and one Aljzeera state, while 4 deaths were recorded for two women and two men in Khartoum State.
According to the cabinet decision, today, Saturday, the lockdown of a 21-day period has begun throughout the state of Khartoum, in accordance with the announced health measures to confront Coronavirus
with the aim of curbing spread of Coronavirus.
It’s worth noting that Sudan’s federal Ministry of Health has urged citizens to abite by the preventive instructions and immediately report suspected Coronavirus cases, in order to achieve the
decision’s objective
