March 30, 2020 (Khartoum) Sudan’s Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk has announced that he is intenting to visit Egypt and Ethiopia ,with a view to discussing the prospect of resuming negotiations on the Renaissance Dam and completing the pending issues.
During a telephonic conversation with US Treasury Secretary Stephen Manuchin, Monday, Sudanese prime minister appreciated the great success of the negotiation process in Washington, describing what has been accomplished as a good step in the right direction ,that will pave the way for the resumption of the negotiating process.
However, the two parties announced their agreement on the importance of continuing negotiations on the Renaissance Dam in order to reach final solutions, after the world overcomes the Coronavirus pandemic.
It’s worthnoting that , Addis Ababa recently withdrew from negotiations with Khartoum and Cairo, which are sponsored by Washington, affirming its right to the waters of the Nile, and that there is no force that can prevent it from using its resources in development, a matter that Egypt rejected and considered it an unjustified escalation.
In addition, Hamdok expressed to Minister Stephen Manuchin the sympathy of the Sudanese people with the American public , with regard to the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus in USA.
