March 17, 2020 (Khartoum) The Minister of Trade and Industry, Madani Abbas Madani, has announced a breakthrough in energy, electricity and fuel supplies.
However, the minister’s declaration comes after attending the council of ministers regular meeting.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Madani said that the Council had reviewed the report on winter agricultural season, and wheat harvest operations.
Abbas Madani affirmed the council’s unanimity on the success of the season through achieving high productivity in the wheat crop.
However, the minister of trade and industry expressed his support to the measures carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Finance, and the strategic stockpile on wheat harvest.
Madani indicated that the council heard a report from the Minister of the Interior, Lieutenant-General Tarifi Idris, on the progress of the investigations into the assassination attempt on the Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdouk, stressing that the investigations are proceeding at a steady pace.
In another context, the Acting Spokesman noted that the Council had heard explanation from the Minister of Interior about the suspicious movements carried out by the elements of the former regime in some states, adding that there is a need to deal with them decisively and seriously so as to preserve the Sudanese revolution and its gains.
