Rapid support forces arrest
March 17, 2020 (El-Geneina) The Rapid Support Forces(RSF) have arrested a member of the Coordination Committee of Mahamid clan, Abdallah Mohamed Abdulaziz in Sudan, West Darfur.
The tribal leader was arrested after participating in a tribal conference in Mastariha area.
Mastariha area(the stronghold of Sheikh Musa Hilal) witnessed overs the past few days a tribal conference, that brought together four thousand tribesmen drawn from various Sudan’s states, where a high coordinating committee for the tribe was elected.
Mahamid leader, Musa Hilal has been in prison for more than two years after his arrest in 2017, in his stronghold of Mastariha by the Rapid Support Forces.
A source told Darfur 24 that a force of rapid support raided on Monday morning the house of Abdallah Mohamed Abdulaziz, known as Abu Mutamir, and arrested him without explaining any reasons, before deporting him to Khartoum.
It’s worth noting that Abdallah was part of the delegation of Mahamid tribe in West Darfur State, which participated in the Mahamid tribal conference, that was held on the eleventh and twelfth of this March. However, Abdallah was elected a member of the Supreme Coordination Committee of the 30-member Mahamid Tribe.
