March 9, 2020 (Khartoum) Political forces and international organizations have condemned the failed attempt to assassinate the Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduk, and considered it a terrorist act against Sudan.
Sudanes Prime minister Abdallah Hamdouk survived an assassination attempt in the Kobar area of Khartoum North ,Monday morning. Meanwhile , the Sudanese Information Minister, Faisal Mohammad Salih confirmed that Hamdock’s convoy came under fire and terrorist bombing, which resulted in the injury of a member of the official ceremony. The Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Abdel Wahid Nour, held the former regime and its militias and allies from the forces of extremism and terrorism fully responsible for this cowardly aggression. The armed struggle movement spokesperson, described the assasination attempt as a coward act that contradicts human values and morals. Abdel Wahid Nour movement demand the government to deal decisively with the remnants of the former regime and to stop all forms of negotiations with it , saying that the National Congress will not be a partner in the future. The delegations of the Transitional Government and the Revolutionary Front held an emergency meeting in Juba , South Sudan on the failed assassination attempt against Hamdouk, and agreed to condemn it. Speaking to reporters, Lieutenant General Shamsuddin Kabashi, member of the Sovereign Council and a member of the government delegation to the negotiations in Juba , South Sudan, said the assasination attempt that targeted the Prime Minister was a full-fledged terrorist act , adding that there is no place for terrorism in Sudan, neither in the past nor in the future.
